Graphic Design

I was commissioned by Seattle University's student government (SGSU) to design a brochure showcasing local attractions around the Central District of Seattle, with an emphasis on two Ethiopian restaurants down the street. The purpose of this brochure was to attract new students to visit and experience other cultures, many of which can be found just down the street. The title, "Beyond 12th & Jeff" is a reference to one of the cross streets Seattle University is located on, 12th Ave & East Jefferson St, colloquially known as 12th & Jeff. The brochure needed to catch the eye, to attract otherwise uncaring student passers by, so I chose to use an energetic, brightly colored illustration of the cross streets for the cover and a color palette similar to the palettes used prior in material made for this campaign. A zoomed in, simplified map was also created for the center panel to point out how to find some of the listed locations.

An alternate version of the illustration for this piece was later accepted into Seattle University's annual arts showcase magazine. This piece can be found at the bottom of this list, and can be purchased as a poster print on my Society6 page, or on a variety of products like apparel, phone cases, home decor, and more through my TeePublic page
